So Ryan Reynolds is cast as HAl Jordan int eh Green Lantern movie! No real opinion on that yet. He seemed fine as Deadpool in the Wolverine movie but before that I'd never heard of the guy. Hopfully it'll be a good choice. Unfortunately it means he most likely won't be in the planned Deadpool movie, so that'll either be recast or more likely just fall apart... Oh well, I am a bigger GL fan than Deadpool anyways!

As for my expectations on the GL movie, here's hoping they don't screw it up. My thought is, a truly great GL movie would have to be space-based, with the whole GL corps, Guardians, Sinestro etc, which would be very expensive. I dont' think they're willing to spend that much money on an untested property so the best we can hope for is an okay Earth-based movie. BUT if we're lucky it'll make enough money that they do a bigger-budget space sequel. I think GL2 is our best hope for a really stellar Green Lantern movie.

Oh PS... have wanted to do a Deadpool strip for quite a while. I know there're tons of ';Pool fans out there!

I dunno, Deadpool has a mask after all so why would they recast him? The only telltale sign that it's the same guy is the voice.

It's more of a politics thing. I doubt Warner will the the Hero of one their DC Comics movies also be the Hero of a Marvel Comics movie.

I don't know what to make of his being casted for the film either, but if he screws that up, he certainly won't be doing any more hero flicks after that! The end of July is the release of the full length animated feature film of GL, so hopefully that won't be a disappointment either! Very funny piece, and killer coloring work!:)

Ryan Reynolds has already signed on to do a Deadpool movie...
That's what my boss found out, anyways :S (we work at a theatre)

That is one of the scariest things I have ever seen.

You're probably right about the GL movie, they probably will have it based on Earth. Still, it wouldn't be to surprising if Sinestro still showed up as the villain, after all, he is one of the greatest GL villains. And in the next movie, they could have the Sinestro Corps to up the ante and have a reason to include more of the GL Corps.

He's also signed on to do the GL movie, which is was MUCh bigger project has a way better chance at getting made. So, don't think we'll be seeing him as Deadpool again.
