Adding Jane Grey/Phoenix really put a finishing touch to this one, .

...it took me a while to finally understand all the hullaballoo around Jazz's death. One the one hand, I like the idea of killing off a main character because it has a crazy emotional impact, but on the other hand I felt nothing when Jazz got torn apart and felt cheated that I didn't get to know him enough to appreciate his demise. I'd rather he lived in the first movie and died in the middle of the second one. Then I would have been better able to understand who the hell he was before he died, and I would be able to say with absolute conviction, "It really, REALLY sucked that Jazz died."

And Optimus and the others didn't mourn him enough. That was a fail for me.

Also, I was hoping he'd come back. I mean the back of the Redeco Jazz box gave me hope, as well as the staff thinking about doing it as well. Oh well... At least he can't kill my other two favorite characters... well eh culd, but we learned once what happens when you kill Prime.
